Custom Presets

Presets are your “AI Personas”. TransFlex ships with 3 built-in presets: EN ↔ VI, EN ↔ VI Tech, and Auto → VI. Free tier users can additionally create up to 3 custom presets (FREE_PRESET_LIMIT=3). With Pro, you can create unlimited custom presets.

Creating a Preset

1. Open the left Sidebar.
2. Click the + (Plus) button at the top.
3. Give your preset a Name (e.g., “Code Refiner”).
4. Choose an Icon (e.g., a hammer or computer icon).
5. Add your System Prompt. This is the core instruction sent to the LLM.

Prompt Examples

English -> Vietnamese Translator:

“You are an expert English-to-Vietnamese translator. Translate the text I provide exactly. Do not add any conversational filler. Maintain markdown formatting.”

Grammar Fixer:

“Fix any spelling or grammatical errors in the following text. Do not change the tone or structure.”

Summarizer:

“Provide a concise bulleted summary of this article.”

Selecting a Preset

Once created, it appears in your sidebar list. Clicking it makes it the active preset for all subsequent translations. You can also assign Custom Hotkeys to jump straight into specific presets!
